Those that work closely with me know that on Fridays I like to ask questions. Every Friday morning I post in the team chat with a fun Friday GIF and a question that each team member is invited to answer such as:

• What is on top of your fridge?
• What would the title of your autiobiography be?
• What type of boat/vessel would you have and what would you name it?

I guarantee you will be surprised by at least some of the answers. Take me for example: A devils ivy plant, ‘What a load of Baloney’, a single kayak called ‘The Full Bhuna’.

I try to make questions topical and be inspired by the week’s events e.g. when the movie Top Gun: Maverick came out (so good!) I asked the team if they were a fighter pilot what their call sign would be (if you are wondering: Donuts). On a week when I was grateful for all the teachers in my life I asked people to share their stories of who their favourite teacher is/was and why (lots of tears reading those messages!).

I strongly encourage everyone to ask random questions to their team! You never know where the conversation will go (we have gone down some rabbit holes!) but most importantly it brings us together as a team to share what makes us who we are. I also think it is very important to know where someone stands on the whole ‘pineapple on pizza’ idea and what they would do in a zombie apocalypse if you work with them.
